There’s something special about a shared dining experience, where every plate tells a story and every course connects you to the people behind it.
On Monday 20 April 2026, the Kai Franklin Chef’s Table returns to Pukekohe for one unforgettable evening celebrating the very best of Franklin’s food, people, and place.
Set in the character filled space at 1 Roulston Street, this one night only event brings together some of the region’s most loved chefs, growers, and producers for a curated four course dining experience.
Organised by The Kitchen Project each course is a collaboration, pairing local culinary talent with the incredible produce that has earned Franklin its reputation as New Zealand’s food bowl.
A Night to Savour and Share
From the first welcome drink through to the final course, guests are invited on a true farm to table journey, one that connects the land, the people behind it, and the flavours that make this region so distinctive.
This is not just dinner, it is a celebration of community.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the chefs and producers behind each dish, hear the stories behind the ingredients, and experience the collaborative spirit that defines Franklin’s food scene. The evening will also be brought to life by the energy of Pukekohe High School students, who will provide service on the night, adding another layer of local pride and connection.
And if previous years are anything to go by, you will want to be quick.
The 2024 event was a sellout, with attendees describing it as “a 12 out of 10” experience, praising not only the food but the atmosphere, entertainment, and the chance to connect with others around the table. Others called it “a great idea” and “a fantastic platform” that brings the community together while showcasing the best of what Pukekohe has to offer.
