Welcome to the kitchen project
The Kitchen Project launched in March 2018 with the aim of helping emerging food entrepreneurs to grow their business in Auckland.
Inspired by La Cocina in San Francisco - one of the most successful kitchen incubators in the
United States - our vision is to enhance Auckland's foodscape by supporting the development of food and beverage with a focus on culture, healthy food and sustainable business practices.
Based in Henderson and Manukau, The Kitchen Project seeks to support food entrepreneurs in both west and south Auckland. Our aim is to celebrate the diversity of our Auckland community, which is a vibrant place with people from different cultures, races and countries of origin. In keeping with this, we are committed to reflecting the community in the candidates we select to take part in the programme.
Who’s behind the kitchen project?
The Kitchen Project is intended to be a public-private partnership set up by Auckland’s redevelopment agency, Panuku Development Auckland and Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) with support from Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura and Healthy Families Waitakere.
